Nepal and China has forged 20
point agreement including easing customs procedure and trade. At the 28th
meeting of Nepal-China Border Customs held in Kathmandu today, agreement on
doing homework on opening seven more border points for business purpose was
forged. Likewise, working on opening Tatopani trade point with priority,
which is closed after the major earthquake and making Kerung Customs more
systematic among others have been decided among the customs officials of both
the countries. Deputy Director General of Customs Department Damodar Regmi
has said that the 28th meeting has prioritized implementation of the
agreement and that important agreement has been forged regarding 7 border
points. The meeting was led by Deputy Director General Regmi on behalf of
Nepal whereas Deputy Director General of Lhasa Customs Lung Xung from the
Chinese side.
