Nepal and Bangladesh into SAF Under-19 semis; Bhutan crashes out following two successive losses
Bangladesh and host nation Nepal have advanced to the semifinals of SAFF
Under-19 Football Championship. Nepal and Bangladesh progressed to the
last four with a match to play after Bhutan crashed out of the
tournament following two consecutive losses in the group stage of the
tournament underway at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur. Following a
loss of 3-1 against Nepal in their first match, Bhutan lost to
Bangladesh by 2-0 in their second match today. Bangladesh scored both
its goals in the first half of the match. Nepal and Bangladesh will now
go head to head on Monday, which will decide the winning team of the
group. India will take on Afghanistan tomorrow as per the tournament
fixture.
