Nepal- Hongkong Cricket


With the help of Anil Mandal's half century, Nepal has shown good performance in the first match of the two-day match against Hong Kong. Nepali team, that was chasing the target of 215 runs till the end of the first match has gathered 106 runs losing only a single wicket. Anil Mandal is at crease making 56 runs in 104 balls whereas Sagar Pun has supported him by making 38 runs in 90 balls. Anil made 10 fours in course of making half century. Nepal lost Mahesh Chettri as the first wicket at the end of sixth over with the score of 21 runs on the board. He was caught by Anshuman Rath of Tanwir AFzal bowling. He managed to score 10 runs off 24 balls with 2 fours. Nepal are still 109 runs behind. Earlier, Hong Kong had won the toss and elected to bat first. In the tournament where 8 teams have participated, Papua New Guinea is at the last position whereas Nepal is one rank up on the seventh. Both the teams had suffered loss in their starting matches.
