World famous football star David
Beckham is in Kathmandu in course of shooting for a documentary being
produced by the BBC. Beckham also played football with children in Bhaktapur
today. Football fans of Nepal and especially Kathmandu were upbeat by the news
of Beckham's arrival in Kathmandu, with the news being shared abundantly in
the social media. Hordes of football fans could be seen at Tribhuwan
International Airport and Bhaktapur to catch a glimpse of Beckham who landed
at 10:55 a.m. on a chartered flight. He then headed to Durbar Square in
Bhaktapur where he interacted with school children. BBC has been shooting its
documentary '777' as an effort to collect aid for UNICEF. Beckham is also the
goodwill ambassador of UNICEF. Beckham arrived in Nepal from Papua New Guinea
to shoot the documentary being produced by BBC1 and BBC World.
