PM Dahal visits Tamakoshi Hydropower


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the concerned people to complete works of Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project on time. PM Dahal, who reached Dolkha today to inspect the project site, has directed the project officials to finish the construction works within the stipulated time. Addressing the press gathering held after the on-site inspection of the project, PM Dahal also declared of rewarding the workers and contractors if the works were completed on time. He also expressed commitment on the government's assistance in building the road that links Lamabazaar in Dolkha with Tibet. The prime minister inspected the underground power house, main tunnels and the dam site of Tamakoshi Hydropower Project. Eighty-two per cent of works of 456 Megawatt Tamakoshi Project that is a project of national pride with investment of domestic capital have been completed so far. The expense till date has crossed 41 billion rupees against the initial estimate of over 35 billion.
