Bribery fight among staffs dubbed as normal by court

A governmental employee involved in a fight post the discontent regarding division of the bribed amount at the office premises, has been released with bail amount of Rs 1000 in Kalilali. Dubbing the fight among the staff of Land Revenue office and Survey Department office as a normal fight among the employees following excess drinking, the employees have been released with a fine of Rs 1,000 each. According to Chief District Officer (CDO) of Kailali Govinda Rijal, a committee has been formed under the leadership of Legal Officer of District Administration Office Lok Mani Pandey to investigate upon the bribe case. He said the arrested were charged with Rs.1,000 fine under the local administration law, as they were found drunk inside the office premises. Meanwhile, it is learnt that the officiating chief of District Land Revenue Department has also suspended two involved employees Purna Nanda Bhatta and Gyanendra Ojha. The committee has directed to submit the report in a week. Prior to this, CDO Rijal had also summoned Chief Officer of Land Revenue and Survey Office and collected some related information. Likewise, surveyors Mahadev Joshi and Birendra Singh of the Survey Department office have also been suspended.
