Tribhuwan Army club wins the title of Jhapa Goldcup Football tournament

Tribhuwan Army has clinched the title of the Jhapa Goldcup Football Tournament. The finale of the third edition of the tournament held at Domalal stadium in Birtamod, Jhapa saw Tribhuwan Army defeat Host Jhapa-11 in sudden death 8-7. The match was pushed to tie-breaker after both the teams scored one goal each within the normal minutes of play. Karna Lmbu had scored for Jhapa-11 whereas Bharat Khawas scored for Army. With the title, the departmental club has also bagged cash prize of Rs 1 million 251 thousand rupees whereas runner up Jhapa-11 received Rs 600 thousand. Jhapa-11's Yogesh Gurung was adjudged 'Man of the Tournament'. He was rewarded with a motorcycle.
