President of Federation of Nepalese Journalists FNJ Mahendra Bista has said the media sector, through means of professional journalism, had been emphasizing on political stability and economic prosperity. Speaking during an interaction with members of Non- Residential Nepalis Association NRNA at his own office today, he said the Nepali media had been playing the role for building bridges by relaying news and information to thousands of Nepalis living across the world, for political transition and social awareness. President of NRNA Shesh Ghale underscored the role of the media sector in the development of a prosperous Nepal. He said the positive role of the media sector would help in the country's development. Founding former president of NRNA Upendra Mahato and its former president Jiba Lamichhane expressed readiness to assist in the development of the media sector. They also expressed willingness to cooperate with FNJ for the enhancement of the media sector.
