A fire broke out in Everest Hotel at New Baneswor, Kathmandu this
morning. Baneswor SP Dan Bahadur Karki informed the fire that broke out
at the ground floor of the hotel was extinguished within two hours.
Guests in the hotel were evacuated and fire brigades from Kathmandu and
Lalitpur brought the fire under control. Police attributed electric
short circuit as the cause of the fire.
