Indians arrested with illegal Foreign currencies in Nepal

Police have arrested an Indian national with around 27 million 300 thousand rupees worth of foreign currencies from Tribhuwan International Airport. Manohar Lal Tripadas Asudhani, who was about to travel to Hong Kong via Dragon Air last night, was taken under control with illegal foreign money. Organizing a press conference at the TIA, police informed that the foreign currencies were found while checking Asudhani's luggage following suspicion. Police informed that more than 179,000 American Dollars, 558,000 Yuan, 250 Pounds, 180 Euros, 50 Australian Dollars, 1,300 Philippines Peso, 9,500 Indian Rupees and 20,000 Nepali Rupees were confiscated from Hong Kong's garment trader Asudhani. Police informed that Asudhani was taking the amount to Hong Kong after collecting the same by selling 4.4 kilograms of gold, brought illegally to Nepal, to traders in Kathmandu. Police further informed that he had sold gold to two traders at Hotel Woodland and that investigation had been initiated on those traders as well.
