Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee has conducted a hearing with
Umesh Mainali recommended for appointment as Chairman of the Public
Service Commission 'PSC' along with members recommended for the
Commission. Members of the Committee took information from the
recommended Chairman Mainali and members about various topics at
Singhadurbar today. Answering the questions of the parliamentarians in
the meeting, Mainali said that he would work in a way that elevated
trust on the PSC among everyone. He also expressed commitment of putting
an end to irregularities.
Mainali informed of playing the role of stopping the appointment at the
civil service based on political division of power. He added that his
priority was in uplifting the level of examination taken by the PSC.
Mainali further clarified that he would not enjoy double facilities as
former secretary and the Chairman of the PSC.
