Village in Kanchanpur catches fire, 1 dies

A person has died as Bademara village of Kanchanpur municipality, ward no.6, Saptari caught fire. 65 year old local Ram Chalitar Sardar was burned to death in the fire, while 79 houses of 33 families were gutted. The fire that broke out from a pile of hay belonging to local Nanku Sardar had spread across the whole village. District Police Office, Saptari informed that the blaze was put out after four hours of joint efforts of police, Nepali Army, locals and fire brigade which reached the site from Itahari, Rajbiraj and Inaruwa.
