At least 33 people die in a bus accident at Ramche VDC, Rasuwa; More than 35 injured

At least 33 people have died in a bus accident that took place at Graang of Ramche VDC, Rasuwa this afternoon. District Police office informed that 29 people died on the spot whereas four died while undergoing treatment. All the deceased except the bus driver have not yet been identified. More than 35 people have suffered injuries in the mishap. However, police have informed that a two year old child along with a woman who died in course of her treatment, is safe. Injured are undergoing treatment at Dhunche Hospital and Trishuli Hospital while few critically injured have been brought to Kathmandu. Police from Nuwakot and Rasuwa had taken out dead bodies and rescued the injured from the cliff. A bus with the registration no. Ba 3 Kha 5706 had headed off to Chilime from Kathmandu at 12:45 pm. It is learnt that there was loss of many lives as there were many many passengers on board the bus due to shortage of fuel and that it was the first bus to go to Rasuwa. However, actual reason of the accident is yet to be discovered.
