Church Boys United, Kathmandu and
Rumpum Jhapa- 11 are set to clash in the final match of Surunga Goldcup
Football- 2072 underway in Jhapa. The final fixture was confirmed after
Church Boys saw off home team Kankai Sports Academy at the scoreline of
3-nil. A goal apiece from Hemanta Thapa Magar, foreign player Martyr and
Suman Lama sealed the win for Church Boys. Suman Lama of the winning side was
adjudged the man of the match. Jhapa-11 had edged Saraswati FC 2-1 in the
first semi-final match played on Tuesday. The tournament with the biggest
cash prize in Mechi zone entitles the winning team to Rs. 251, 111 and the
runner-up team to Rs. 151,111.
