Turkish nationals arrested in ATM fraud case
Police have nabbed another ring involved in withdrawing money by stealing pin numbers and passwords of ATM cards. Crime Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested two Turkish nationals involved in the racket. The accused have been identified as Muharam Yujan and Salhatin Yaber. In the arrest carried out at Yellow Pagoda Hotel in Kantipath of the capital, police also impounded more than 2.6 million Nepali rupees, 17 hundred Euros, 1,660 American dollars, and 113 ATM cards of different banks. Police have informed that the duo had confessed to withdrawing amounts from Nabil Bank's ATM machine in Kantipath. Police have also informed that the duo were aware of pin numbers of 300 bank customers. They have alerted people to be cautious with their ATM and bank transactions. Only last week, another racket of Romanian and Bulgarian nationals were rounded up on the same charge. It is learnt the two arrested today are also members of that same ring.
