President Bidya Devi Bhandari has nominated three members for the National Assembly. President Bhandari nominated three NA members- Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwada, Ram Narayan Bidari and Dr. Bimala Poudel as per the government's recommendation. The President's office issued a press-release announcing that the members of National Assembly were nominated based on government's recommendation as per the Section B of Sub-Article 2 under Article 86 of the Nepal's Constitution.
Earlier, cabinet meeting on the same day recommended the names of three individuals to be appointed as the National Assembly members. The new government recommended new names cancelling the earlier recommendation by the Sher Bahadur Deuba led government.
The Debua government had recommended Krishna Prasad Poudel, Gopal Basnet and Chadani Joshi for the National Assembly members.
