4 shooters involved in shooting a businessman in Birgunj arrested

Police have arrested the four persons involved in shooting businessperson Umesh Chaurasiya last night in Birgunj. Among the arrested are Chaurasiya's wife Priyanka Chaurasiya, her alleged lover Bikendra Gupta and Manoj Gupta of Parwanipur-1, and Munna Sah Kanu from Murli, Birgunj-12. Umesh Chaurasiya was returning from Bhairahawa when he was shot behind the building of Consulate General of India. Umesh has recently returned from a 10-year long stay in Dubai in course of foreign employment and has been running thread business. Deputy Superintendent of Police DSP Rajan Limbu informed that preliminary investigation revealed Bikendra and Priyanka assigned Manoj Gupta to kill Umesh as per they wanted to get married. Police have further informed Priyanka and Bikendra were already in affair when Umesh was in Dubai. Police have also found the pistol and motorcycle used in the attack. Injured from the firing, Umesh has been brought to Norvic Hospital for treatment. His wife Priyanka was arrested in Kathmandu.
