An 8-year old child raped in Parsa

An eight year old girl has been raped in Paterwasugauli rural municipality, Parsa district. The minor was raped while she was out grazing cattle. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at District Police Office, Parsa Rajan Limbu informed the crime surfaced when the minor was found unconscious in the fields near a pond at Nichutana in the rural municipality, ward number 5. Her family members found her when they searched for her as the girl who left home with the goats Wednesday noon had not returned till late evening. DSP Limbu said the girl was admitted in the Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital in Birgunj for treatment as soon as she was found. He informed the girl had bruises in various parts of the body along with deep injury in her reproductive organ following which she immediately underwent surgical operation in the same hospital after collection of all necessary evidence. Limbu further informed a police team from the District Police Office, Parsa has been deployed in Paterwasugauli rural municipality to investigate on the same. Doctors involved in the minor's treatment has informed the girl's medical condition is critical.
