Jhapa Goldcup update - Jhapa 11 advances to semi-finals

Jhapa-11 has advanced to the semi-final of Jhapa Goldcup Football ongoing in Jhapa district. Defeating India's Sikkim United 2-1 in the home ground, Jhapa secured its place in last four. Mayal Dok Lepcha scored the first goal in the 18th minute of the match and took Sikkim United on lead. Jhapa-11 equalized after six minutes with Khamir Gilsan Kandangwa's goal in 24th minute. Jhapa's Bishwash Shrestha scored one more goal in 42nd minute. Shrestha was also adjudged 'man of the match'. He received cash prize of Rs 25,000 from Oli and Associates. The last quarterfinal match to be held on Thursday will see clash between two departmental clubs Nepal Police Club and Tribhuwan Army Club.
