Youth Awakening Campaign launched in Kanchanpur

A Youth Awakening Campaign has been launched in Kanchanpur as an effort towards conservation of wild-life, in the verge of extinction. The awareness campaign was initiated by Sukhlafata National Park and Buffer Region Manangement Committee with the objective to control poaching and smuggling activities. The program kicked off from Kanchanpur district headquarters, Mahendranagar with the main slogan stressing on Youth Awakening for Conservation of Tigers and Leopards. The rally marched from the Open platform (Khula-mancha) in Mahendranagar carrying various banners and placards with slogans. 9 groups from the Buffer zone and various officials of the Forest Office also participated in the rally. Chief Conservation Officer at Shuklafanta National Park Gopal Ghimire informed the campaign was commenced with the objective to preserve and conserve wild-life.
