Minister of Finance Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat has condemned the attack by Unified CPN- Maoist cadres on him. He opined that the attack by the Maoists had made clear that the latter were still in favor of violence. Maoist cadres had pelted stones at the vehicle ferrying Minister Mahat today, while he was on his way to a programme of small farmers agriculture cooperative at Salyan, Kaski. While returning to Kathmandu, Minister Mahat, at Pokhara airport, said the Maoists' behavior would not cause the slightest trouble to the government.
