Chairman of Construction Entrepreneurs Association, Jumla shot amid protest in Jumla

One person was injured when police fired shots in course of ongoing protest in Jumla demanding an autonomous Karnali state. Raj Bahadur Mahat, who also chairs the Construction Entrepreneurs Association, Jumla, suffered injury after being hit by a bullet in his arm at around 2p.m. today. It was informed that other few people have also been injured during the protest. The demonstrators vandalised district offices of Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Unified CPN-Maoist. The strike enforced only in Jumla yesterday was expanded to Humla, Mugu, Kalikot and Dolpa as well today. Protesters have halted airport operation at Jumla since yesterday.
