Four major parties express commitment to resolve issue of demarcation as per people's sentiments
Senior leaders of the four major parties have appealed to the people to maintain calm and halt agitations of all kinds. The appeal to remain calm was issued to all people of the country jointly by Prime Minister Sushil Koirala who also heads ruling Nepali Congress, CPN-UML Chairman K. P. Oli, Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and MJF- Democratic Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar. They have also appealed to the people to voice appropriate suggestions on the issue of demarcation of federal units and stop all sorts of protest programmes. The joint appeal of the senior leaders comes amid growing protest against the proposed carving out of six federal states. The communique expresses commitment to take the debate that has arisen on the issue of demarcation to a proper resolution by upholding the people's sentiments and nation's need and interest.
