Government appoints Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada as vice-chairman of National Planning Commission
The government has appointed former governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada as the vice-chairman at the National Planning Commission. Khatiwada has held the same post in the Commission before this as well. The decision to this effect was taken by the cabinet meeting held today. The government has also decided to provide Rs. 1 million each to families of police personnel killed in course of the Madhesh agitation. It has directed the concerned ministry to provide free treatment to people injured in yesterday's road accident at Ramche in Rasuwa who are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
