Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Centre
and the Madheshi Front have agreed to form a task force to maintain
political understanding. The decision to form a 9-member committee was
made at a meeting held among senior leaders of Congress and Maoist
Centre with the leaders of the Madheshi Front. The meeting held at
Singha Durbar has also agreed to decide on the members of the committee
very soon. The committee will comprise of three leaders from each of the
three political sides. Also during the meeting, leaders of Congress and
Maoist Centre had urged the Madheshi Front to join the government.
However, the Madheshi leaders refrained from joining the government
until their demands were addressed. BITE... The meeting was attended by
Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal
Dahal, TMDP Chair Mahantha Thakur, Federal Socialist Forum Chair
Upendra Yadav and Sadhbhawana Party Chair Rajendra Mahato.
