Gobinda KC protest continues, Rally organised today in capital

A rally was organised in capital Kathmandu today under the leadership of Dr. Govinda KC, who is protesting with demand for reforms and end of corruption in the health and medicine sector. The demonstration was staged with initiative of youths running the campaign 'Walk with Dr. KC'. The rally marched from Maitighar to New Baneshwor. Huge presence of youths, students, media-persons, artistes and health workers was seen in the demonstration that was staged with the slogan: 'Let's walk with Dr. KC, let's come out against corruption'. Addressing a corner gathering at New Baneshwor, Dr. Govinda KC said he was fighting for improvement in the health and medicine sector, and thanked the people who were supporting him. Talking with media-persons, he said his hunger strike had ended with an agreement this time as well, and that any effort to breach the agreement would be thwarted. BITE... Dubbing chief of Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority Lokman Singh Karki as a major player in the culture of corruption, he accused Karki of running a parallel regime and rising above the constitution. Saying parliamentarians had also remained silent on the issue of Lokman Singh Karki, he added that a choice had to be made between the democratic system and 'Lokman Singh system'. He said Karki was yet to be brought under the impeachment process despite the inking of the agreement. Effecting the right to information, the youths have prepared to submit an application at the CIAA demanding the property details of Karki tomorrow.
