President speaks on 102nd birth anniversary of late Ganeshman

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has said that everyone should take lesson from supreme leader Ganesh Man Singh's ideology. Speaking at a programme held on the occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of late leader Singh by Ganesh Man Singh and People's Movement Martyr Memorial Peace Academy in Shantibatika, Kathmandu today, the head of the state said Singh was not only a leader of a particular party but the whole nation. Saying Singh's contribution to the movement against autocratic Rana regime was commendable, President Bhandari said implementing the constitution would be a real tribute to 'iron man Singh'. President Bhandari said people's rights would be ensured after the election, saying the political parties did not have any alternative other than to prepare for the polls by effecting the constitution. At the programme, Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitoula was honored with this year's People's Movement Gold Medal for his role in the second people's movement and Nepal's peace process.
