Nepal reaches final of Solidarity cup


Nepal has reached the final of ongoing Solidarity Cup Football in Malaysia. Nepal edged Laos 3-nil in the tie-breaker of the first semi-final match of the tournament played today. Heman Gurung, Bikram Lama and Sujal Shrestha scored for the Nepali team in the penalties, while goalkeeper Kiran Chenjong saved two shots of the opposing side. The match before this had ended on a tied scoreline of 1-each. After going down 1-nil in the 18th minuet of the game, Nepal had come back to level the score in the 47th minute with a netting from Ananta Tamang. Nepal will now play the winner of the second semi-final match between Brunei and Macau in the final match of the competition.
