State management Committee helds discussion


The State Management Committee has held discussion on the three laws required for election. The Committee's meeting held today dwelt on election committee, political parties registration and judiciary's theoretical side on voters' list. The Committee held discussion with Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi and chief election commissioner Dr. Ayodhi Prasad Yadav.
Parliamentarians, at the meeting, expressed opinion that the laws related to elections have to be taken ahead at the earliest. Lawmakers of the large parties said that continuing threshold, providing money to the parties from the state- side were legitimate. However, small parties protested against the same.
Home Minister Nidhi, at the meeting, said the laws were prepared so as to hold polls in fair, free and fearless manner. He said the government will hold local level election by mid-April next year and parliament and state-level elections by November next year following constitution amendment. BITE...
Chief Election Commissioner Yadav said the Election Commission was ready from all aspects to hold the polls. He also made clear that it will take one hundred twenty days from the day of declaration of poll dates to prepare for the same. He was of the view that election laws are immediately required for holding local level election within the stipulated time.
