Election of National Assembly to be held befor presidential election

Election of Chairman and vice chairman of the National Assembly is to be held prior to the presidential election. The Parliament Secretariat has put forth a proposal to nominate leadership of both the houses prior to the election of the new president slated for March 13. The all-party meeting held at the parliament building at New Baneshowr on Wednesday, directed the secretariat to prepare schedule of election ofchairman, deputy chairman, speaker and deputy speaker of the National Assembly. Next meeting scheduled on March 4 is to finalize the election date. Spokesperson for the Parliament secretariat Bharat Gautam informed the first meeting of the House will endorse the interim working method required for running the House. BITE... The secretariat has given the draft of the interim working method to the parties. Likewise, he also informed the meeting dwelt on preparation of oath taking ceremony to be held on March 4.
